For our Training on Linear Flash Animation for the eSkwela Project of CICT on January 17-20, 2008, the venue was Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.From the airport in Cagayan de Oro, we reached the central terminal by taxi and boarded the bus bound for Valencia, Bukidnon. The province is considered to be the food basket of Mindanao. Plantations of pineapple, bananas, and sugarcane are abundant in the place.
On the first day of our training, while waiting for the other participants and trainers, we visited the souvenir shops near the campus. There we saw displays of various native products. We were sheepishly smiling as we carried bags and bags of souvenirs to the opening program.
In the afternoon of our last training day, we had a hike to Gantungan Falls. We did not proceed to see the two other falls in the area because of the muddy paths. We saw the houses (tulugan) at Kaamulan Park and visited the Monks' Monastery and bought some of their food products.Sir Mark was right. Everything in Bukidnon is far and wide.
