Lucban and Sariaya, Quezon

Lucban, Quezon is noted for its Pahiyas Festival (also known as harvest festival) every 15th day of May, a thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. All the houses in the poblacion are colorfully decorated with samples of their harvest and the usual kiping decorations made from rice flour. That was our first stop during the summer trip of the CvSU Development Cooperative on May 15-16, 2008.

Then we proceeded to a beach resort in Sariaya, Quezon for an overnight stay. The sea breeze was so strong that we had to wait the following morning for a swim. However, we felt like being massaged by the strong waves. My son said that we were just surfing. From Sariaya, we dropped by Liliw, Laguna to buy footwear and foodstuff. The stores were so happy with our investments. :)
